Canadian software vendor Syndesis will implement systems to improve data quality across Telstra's multiple data repositories.
This would see auto-discovery functionality across Telstra's entire network for physical and logical inventory, Syndesis said.
"As part of Telstra's IT transformation, it is essential to ensure the accuracy of inventory data, which supports overall service fulfilment," John McInerney, director, IT Transformation, Telstra, said in a statement.
The contract is one of many to be signed in Telstra's transformation project. The project has seen the carrier place a moratorium on legacy systems development and focus on building new systems for next generation networks like 3G.
Telstra did not respond to a request for comment before publication.
