Roach wins Australian Tata post

High-profile ICT industry leader Neville Roach is to play a key role in the integration of Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) recent acquisition, Australian banking software specialist Financial Network Services (FNS), TCS said today.

Roach, a former head of research specialist National ICT Australia and Fujitsu Australia, has been appointed chairman of TCS-FNS, the company established to acquire FNS in October last year. The Indian software company closed the deal for AU$35 million.

S Ramadorai, TCS chief executive officer and managing director, said in a statement "TCS is delighted that a person of Neville Roach's experience and leadership will chair the Board of TCS-FNS at this crucial point in the company's development.

"We are also confident that his advice will help TCS Australia to become a major force in the Australian market".

It is interesting to note TCS trying to go global by acquiring so many companies. But , AS an Ex TCS employee who left due to unbearable work circumstances and is in Australia, I can only amuse my self.. It is good to know that they understand that business is done differently in different countries. But unless they themselves take a lesson from other countries and start treating their employees well, their employees who mostly belong to India would be dissatisfied. As someone who had the first hand experience of the bureaucratic and corrupt work culture and unethical behaviour of top brass, I think I can speak for a lot more who are like me. Good Luck Mr Roach ! Hope you find the ride slightly easier..
