in brief Qantas has awarded ASG Group a contract to provide systems integration and maintenance services for the upgrade of the airline's finance systems.

The three year contract will see ASG provide Oracle technical development and environment management services to support Qantas's eQ project. Oracle's E-Business suite on Linux is a key platform in Qantas's infrastructure.

Initiated in 2002, eQ aims to upgrade Qantas's legacy payroll, financial, procurement and inventory management systems.

ASG won the contract after a competitive tender. The Perth-headquartered company will deliver the services from its Sydney office.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.
