Why employ another comedian when Ballmer is already on the books? 8-)

    oh dearAnonymous -- 22/08/08

    Not good PR for Jerry!

    How fitting...Anonymous -- 22/08/08

A washed up comedian to plug their washed up joke of an operating system.

Ignore the sock puppets - Vista is coolAnonymous -- 22/08/08

I use Vista on my iMac and love it. I've found Vista to be fast, reliable and it has some useful features not found in XP

    Vista PRAnonymous -- 22/08/08

So Gates thinks PC users are easily swayed by high cost & glossy PR - me thinks he's in for a rude shock.
    Long live Linux!!

Gates has nothing to do with this except for your narrow minded views on the world, sales and marketing has been Steve Ballmer for nearly 30 years

Using propaganda to bolster a flawed product is so passe. The market will eventually rebel against captive marketing.
Ballmer may be S&M boss, but he ultimately requires Board approval.

    AgreedJohn -- 25/08/08 (in reply to #320110425)

Apple have been doing exactly that with their flawed product

Flawed??? Apple make extremely good products. Several friends of mine have asked my advice on their computer woes (especially in light of the recent Vista disasters) and I said 'Buy a Mac" and they've all been more than happy with their purchases.
No more getting hosed every day with viruses, no more wierd crashes and BSOD, no more spyware/adware and slow performance as the system grinds itself to a halt every 6 months.

And no, I don't own or use a Mac myself, but I recognise good, easy-to-use kit when I see it.

Just like the showJohn -- 23/08/08

long and tedious and was actually about nothing, which is what I suspect this will be about.

With Windows 7 being released into field testing, being almost code and feature complete it has already sounded the death bell for Vista. MS is just flogging a dead horse by making its death just a little funnier
