AMP renews CSC outsourcing contract

in brief Financial giant AMP has renewed a long-standing outsourcing contract with CSC Australia for another four years and AU$200 million.

AMP first outsourced its IT operations to CSC 14 years ago in 1992. Sources close to the deal told ZDNet Australia the new, recently signed contract covered services in the areas of:

  • Mainframe
  • Mid-range
  • Network
  • Helpdesk
  • Desktop
  • Mail
  • Web
  • Architecture and Process improvements

CSC has also committed to reducing costs within the mainframe and network service areas, and enhancing security across the business.
