in brief KPMG's IT advisory director Bob Hayward has left the professional services firm within the last week.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed that he left on 27 March on his own steam, but was unable to provide any details as to the reason.

Hayward joined KPMG in January 2008, when the company hoped to strengthen its IT advisory practice.

He is well known within the industry, having spent over 10 years working at Gartner, ending as a senior vice president and fellow for its Asia-Pacific/Japan operations. He also had a short stint with Springboard Research as well as being the co-founder for a number of technology firms in Asia and Australia.
