Back to school for ASG in Victoria By Scott Mckenzie, ZDNet Australia June 01, 2007 URL: http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/software/soa/Back-to-school-for-ASG-in-Victoria/0,130061733,339278088,00.htm
The Victorian Department of Education has awarded ASG a contract to provide IT services support and infrastructure management in a deal that could be worth up to AU$65 million. ASG has signed an initial five-year contract worth AU$49 million, but an option for a further four years could see it rake in AU$65 million. Under the terms of the contract ASG will provide a number of services, among them a human resources management system, associated application management for the upgrade and complete infrastructure management services. The Victorian DET went to tender last August and selected ASG following an exhaustive process. "We are very pleased to have secured this contract after such a thorough and demanding selection process," Rob Bild, ASG general manager southern region said. The win comes on top of other successes with Qantas, Ericsson and the Victorian Metropolitan Ambulance Service.
