NCR on Thursday inked a deal with global bank ABN AMRO to supply the company with customer relationship management and some financial analysis services in the Asia Pacific region.

NCR's Teradata platform will be used by ABN AMRO's business development teams to support several financial services including customer revenue analysis, credit risk monitoring and customer relationship management (CRM).

A spokesperson for NCR Teradata told ZDNet Australia  that the company already has experience providing similar services for Australia's largest banks.

"We are going to be doing some CRM and some financial management for their finance division and customer revenue analysis for their credit division. In Australia we already [work with] the Commonwealth Bank, St George, National Australia Bank and Westpac -- all of the big ones," the spokesperson said.

Jim Brown, head of the Asia Consumer Client Segment of ABN AMRO, said the bank conducted a "thorough vendor evaluation process" before choosing Teradata.

"To better serve our customers and fulfil the needs of the company's marketing management and risk control, we need a robust decision support platform. After a thorough vendor evaluation process, we decided to work with Teradata to deploy our data warehouse and CRM solution," said Brown in a statement.
