High-profile ICT industry leader Neville Roach is to play a key role in the integration of Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) recent acquisition, Australian banking software specialist Financial Network Services (FNS), TCS said today.

Roach, a former head of research specialist National ICT Australia and Fujitsu Australia, has been appointed chairman of TCS-FNS, the company established to acquire FNS in October last year. The Indian software company closed the deal for AU$35 million.

S Ramadorai, TCS chief executive officer and managing director, said in a statement "TCS is delighted that a person of Neville Roach's experience and leadership will chair the Board of TCS-FNS at this crucial point in the company's development.

"We are also confident that his advice will help TCS Australia to become a major force in the Australian market".
