Internet service provider, iPrimus is back in the firing line after its sixth outage in 12 weeks.
The ISP says it was just a "brief hiccup" that prevented customers being able to log on for about twenty minutes between 9.30pm and 9.50pm.
"I don't think it was noticed," iPrimus' George Hasim told ZDNet. Unfortunately it was.
Although it may have been a 20-minute outage this time, "it doesn't alter the fact that iPrimus was down again for about the seventh time in the last couple of months," one annoyed customer told ZDNet.
"We're paying close to top dollar for a service that isn't as reliable as some of the tiny players in the ISP market whose charges are half of iPrimus'."
iPrimus, the country's fourth largest Internet Service Provider (ISP) with 200,000 customers, said the outage was "nothing uncommon".
"It's fair to say that this problem is no different to any other ISP - big or small," Hasim said.
"Uncommon" couldn't better describe the "hiccups" that hounded iPrimus at the rate of one a fortnight around Christmas/New Year.
The last spanner in the works happened four weeks ago when customers were unable to log on intermittently over one weekend due to an authentication failure.
This week's latest service failure affected "a small number of customers" Hasim said.
The ISP says none of the glitches were related.
