Yahoo! Australia and NZ has upped the ante in the online marketing industry with the launch of a new Australian service, Fusion Marketing Online, to provide targeted marketing through its online service.

The new service will bundle Yahoo!'s advertising and marketing opportunities in a bid to give Yahoo! a bigger share of the online ad dollar. The service will give advertisers more opportunities to target particular audience segments, according to Yahoo! Australia's general manager, Tony Faure.

"FMO helps our advertisers leverage Yahoo! Australia & NZ's significant audience, traffic and database to provide customisable and measurable marketing solutions, it offers innovative and comprehensive solutions in the area of permission based, targeted, direct marketing," he noted.

The Fusion Marketing service will offer sponsorship and advertising through areas such as direct marketing, permission marketing, custom promotions and integrated offline promotions.

"For clients that are looking for ways to migrate clicks into sales FMO can help them go beyond the banner, to combine their media with interaction and with commerce," Faure said.
