Webjet bookings take off

Online travel agent Webjet's company bookings have soared by over 100 percent and transaction volumes increased by nearly 50 percent during the quarter ended June 30, 2001.

The company said it was a -substantial improvement" in quarterly activity, with receipted revenue increasing from AU$45,000 to AU$51,000, while net funds used totalled AU$733,000 and cash revenues hit the AU$3.03 million mark.

-Cash flow has been adversely affected in the quarter by the increase in work in progress...and should normalise in the next quarter," the company said in a statement.
