Telstra Billpay on the blink

Telstra's Internet bill payment platform Billpay has been on the blink since yesterday, leaving customers unable to settle their telephone accounts online.

"No root cause has been determined," Telstra spokesperson Stuart Gray told ZDNet.

Despite the lights being out for almost an entire day, Gray said he was unable to give an estimated time by which the problem would be fixed.

"Technicians are treating this issue as a priority and are working on the problem," a notice on the Web site says.

With ADSL network glitches forever hitting the telco giant's customers, Gray says this is the first time Billpay has been slugged with such an outage.

Telstra declined to reveal how many customers used the online bill payment facility.

What isn't falling apart at Telstra? Mind you, its not suprising the infrastructure is crap when the people at the top can't even pull their heads out of their ahem's long enough to work out what the Australia public need and want!

    Good on ya Ziggy!

Ps. Stick your 3gig limit and call waiting up your proverbial....I FOR ONE, DON'T WANT IT!

    Onya Nick!

Good ol' Telstra can impose a 3 Gig limit yet it can't provide me with a means to real-time tracking of how much I download. What a shame Optus can't get off its corporate duff and offer some some real competition to our friends.
