Spike has acquired 100 percent interest in Techpacific-owned Velocity9, with approximately two percent of its shares to be transferred to Techpacific and its founders.
The deal comes just one month after Spike's acquisition of two more Asian-based companies SoftPub and Linux Centre (HK) Limited for the value of US$590,000.
The deal will enable Spike to increase its range of Web and multimedia products with live action video and 3D animation, and provide technical solutions for design and content development across the Internet.
-Live action video, 2D and 3D animation will add greater range of content for our CD, DVD and plasma screen products," Spike global head of multimedia Ray Jones said.
A spokesperson for the company says although broadband is a bit slower in Australia, the Asia-Pacific region in general will be able to benefit from the integration of products and services.
