Australian digital services company Spike CyberWorks has acquired a substantial interest in Hong Kong-based SoftPub.com and Linux Centre (HK) Limited.
Spike CyberWorks acquired a 35 percent interest in SoftPub from techpacific.com for US$1.4 million, and a 45 percent interest in Linux from techpacific, Applied Research Council and Nirvana Capital at an aggregate value of US$590,000.
SoftPub is a Web service solution provider working in the areas of Web site and online service development solutions, Internet programming, systems integration and technical user interface design and programming.
The Linux Centre offers application development, use analysis consulting and training in the computer operating system, Linux.
"These additions to our corporate portfolio will enhance our already impressive capabilities in the digital and e-enablement services markets in the Asia-Pacific region. We anticipate that the synergies these companies will bring to our current activities will be very valuable," said Spike CyberWorks CEO, Peter Williamson.
