Many of Hotmail's 68 million users have experienced outages and delays in trying to access their free email accounts since Sunday.

Some have reported to Hotmail that they can't log onto the Hotmail home page to file repair requests.

Other Hotmail users say it's taking up to a minute to accomplish a single task, according to copies of email messages forwarded to ZDNet News.

Hotmail has told its users that it has had to take down some servers for upgrades due to increasing demand.
