In commemoration of Atari's 27th anniversary, Hasbro Interactive has bundled six of the generation's most popular games onto a single CD-ROM package.

Called the Atari Arcade Hits: Volume I, the compilation includes Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, Super Breakout, and Pong, as well as an interview with Atari founder, Nolan Bushnell, and a host of related desktop themes, mouse pointers and screen savers. For the nostalgic, the bundle also includes footage of pictures, flyers, posters, and other historical items from yesteryear.

"Atari games laid the foundation for our booming computer and video-game industry today with their fun and addictive game play,'' said Hasbro Interactive president Tom Dusenberry. "We're proud to bring together some of the most popular Atari games and memorabilia from yesteryear to offer enjoyment to both new and old Atari fans.''

Volume I is available from a number of retailers for about US$29.95. Hasbro plans on releasing two additional Atari Arcade Hits bundles soon.
