The DI-804 offers the safety and security of both a port-blocking device and acts as a natural firewall between a local network and the Internet, providing added security protection for local IP addressed systems from outside hacking, according to the company statement.

The DI-804 provides four 10/100 switched Fast Ethernet ports for connection to create a SOHO network and one 10Mb Ethernet port for a DSL or cable modem. It employs a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) that provides dynamic allocation of IP addresses for up to 253 clients on a network, the company claims.
