The Triple-I Index climbed higher again today and a number of entrants were queried by the ASX about sharemarket surges.

Emitch (EMI), which saw a 24 percent jump in its market value yesterday said: "There is no information concerning emitch that has not been announced which, if known, would explain the recent trading in emitch's shares". The bulk media buyer was trading a further 17 percent higher in early afternoon trade -- up to 96 cents. Its share price fell back to 88 cents by day's end.

MultiEmedia (MUL) was also in the dock and claimed it "is working on several projects, which may materialise in the near future". However, MultiEmedia said as these deals were still being negotiated, no announcements could yet be made. MultiEmedia saw a 16 percent surge at one point yesterday and was trading just 6 percent up at 35 cents today.

Junior telco Davnet (DVT) saw a surge of 21 percent, which took its share price to AU$1.72. This is a price it hasn't seen slapped on its stock since early May. Davnet announced today the installation of an additional five, top-of-the-line Gigabit Ethernet routers from equipment leader Cisco Systems. "This equipment enables Davnet to deliver up to one gigabit per second, or 1000 megabits per second (Mbps), of data to customers," a company statement said.

BMC Media (BMC) which had a 24 percent hike in its market value yesterday, was up a massive 48 percent today. Its share price hit the AU$1.25 mark for the first time since mid-May.

Kidz.net (KID) saw a 37 percent leap which took its share price to 24 cents.

Also climbing the stockmarket ladder were online broker E*Trade (ETR) and Harvest Road (HRD) -- up 13.2 percent and 15.1 percent respectively throughout the day. E*Trade ended the day trading at AU$2.08 and Harvest Road shares were valued at 71 cents.

At day's end the Triple-I Index was 10.3 points higher and valued at 715.
