Virus a not-so-perfect match for email

This virus preys on lonely hearts with the promise of true love, but the end result of flooded email inboxes.

Matcher is the latest Internet worm to spread like wildfire. W32.Matcher doesn't cause any lasting damage; it primarily floods email servers with copies of itself. As with Anna and NakedWife, Matcher uses social engineering to spread itself, promising to find the recipient a love mate with the attached program. Antivirus software companies around the world are reporting infections from Matcher.

How it works
Matcher arrives as an email with the following information.

Subject: Matcher
Body: Want to find your love mates!!! Try this its cool... Looks and Attitude Maching to opposite sex.
Attachment: Matcher.exe

If the recipient opens the attached file, Matcher will begin continuously sending itself to addresses found in the infected user's Outlook address book. It will also modify the autoexec.bat file to display the following text each time the user boots up:
