Internet security company SecureNet has landed a AU$1.5 million Internet infrastructure contract with ANZ's Internet-based services.
SecureNet Managing Director Geoffrey Ross described the new log-in architecture as "a single authenticated sign-on point" -- allowing customers to log in just once and then have secure access to the full range of applications they are entitled to.
Ross told ZDNet Australia that it is "the first large scale secure Internet access project announced within Australia. We are very pleased to be working with ANZ on this project".
Michelle Gibbings, Media Relations Manager, ANZ, said the infrastructure builds on the bank's existing corporate and personal online banking platforms, "Its another piece in the puzzle of building a platform of e-commerce services we're able to offer our customers."
Ross confirmed that the project is already underway and should be "up and running in the next couple of months".
Ross said the contract "demonstrated the company's growing international profile as a developer and provider of Internet-based trust solutions".
