I work as an enterprise security advisor for Government and Corporate and are dismayed.
The echoing by aap of the eSecurity review missed the critical point of the AG's purpose for having the review- It is calling for public submissions.
"The Australian Government is seeking written submissions on the issues raised in this discussion paper from the business community and members of the public with an interest in e-security. The closing date for submissions is 31 July 2008." See http://www.ag.gov.au/esecurityreview for the complete public and market interest picture.
Without reporting this aap echoes the PR state controlling public disinterest.
The government when they provided the "press release" to the market are remiss and aap in this case, are pandering, in not having the public interest; who might be their target demographic foresight, to add that written submissions are being called for.
