 Computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard says it has settled inkjet patent infringement lawsuits in Germany and France. Hewlett-Packard said International United Technology would make an undisclosed payment to Hewlett-Packard and quit making inkjet cartridges, which it had marketed as replacements for HP ones. It gave no further details. HP launched the lawsuits in June 2000, and said it has settled those and others started at the time.
