The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has introduced a new Web site called 'Slam A Cyberscam', a service in which consumers can have their say about illegal conduct on the Net.

Slam A Cyberscam is an automated Web site, where consumers can lodge complaints about illegal on-line selling practices. The information will help the ACCC track unlawful e-commerce sites operating on the Net.

"Businesses must remember that consumers have the same rights online as they do offline. These rights cannot be denied or over-ridden," ACCC Chairman Professor Allan Fells said.

The site can be accessed thought the ACCC web site at www.accc.gov.au/ecomm/cyber/.
