Unisys to spend more time at TAFE Qld

in brief TAFE Queensland has signed a two-year extension to its outsourcing deal with Unisys for infrastructure and desktop management support.

Under the terms of the new agreement Unisys will support the TAFE's 240 servers and 12,500 desktops, including help desk services which respond to 65,000 calls per year. The extension also covers local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) asset management services.

TAFE Queensland offers over 800 courses to more than 250,000 students via traditional, online, distance learning, commercial organisations and on-the-job training methods.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
