Let Get Power back on the Grid Anonymous -- 22/01/08

Lets face it - the population is growing - we depend more on technology - lets get the approach right - instead of always taking the "lets reduce use" line - lets find ways to make affordable - available everywhere power.

fact of life - we are going to outgrow our abilty to provide power to all the planet's people at some stage if we keep following our current path.

yes coal is bad - wind is unpopular (even with the greenies - it kills birds), solar is way too expensive - and yes nuclear is bad too.

lets get the development of clean, mass availability, cheap, reliable power generation on the map and going

and we should not look for a single silver bullet - that is no way to apprach any problem. It will take a range of actions and technologies.

perhaps its micro sites similar to grid computing coulped with solar/wind at each home, coupled with city buildings channelling their excess heat to a subteranean power plant etc etc..
