Didn't they also try and brush that under the carpet and were forced to recall them? Twelve months later and they're still up to their old tricks - trying to hide their faults and only acknowedge them under duress.
Watch for the next product recall - all Lithium-ion batteries manufactured by Sony, not only for laptops, but mobile phones and other appliances.
Other manufacturers that have been caught up in this fiasco have copped a lot of flack over this. Corporate memories can last a long time...
