NSW Govt renews storage panel

in brief The NSW Government has gone back to market for suppliers to provide storage and virtualisation products and services under a panel arrangement.

The panel will replace the previous arrangements, which were signed in November 2003 and expire on 4 November this year. The new panel will commence in February 2010 and last two years, but may be extended by up to three years. Contracts for the 2007-2008 period totalled $47 million.

Suppliers on the panel will provide server systems, storage solutions, uninterruptible power supplies, virtualisation solutions, hardware add-ons and support services. Current panellists include EMC, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Dell and XSI Data Solutions.

Tenders are due by 18 November.
