The two-year hiring strategy for CSG's new South Australian operations would boost the company's total headcount of 650 by over 10 per cent.
CSG's acquisition of Commander's Volante business gave the company a foothold into the South Australian market last year, when it took over the state government's desktop managed services deal under its Distributed Computing Support Services panel contract, which it shares with HP and Dell. The overall value of the deal is estimated to be worth $120 million.
CSG this month hired former Microsoft director for the state, John Driscoll, to head up the CSG's efforts there. Driscoll had been with Microsoft for five years between 2001 and 2006 where he had focused on government and commercial accounts.
