In the hopes of getting a larger slice of the Federal government pie, IT services company CSG Limited has bought Canberra-based outsourced printer management business ATI Group.

ATI Group carried out outsourced management of printer fleets, including procurement, ownership, management, break fix and help desk services.

According to CSG Limited CEO Denis Mackenzie, the drivers for the purchase were the group's Canberra presence and because "print management" was a growing sector in Australia.

"ATI have a number of large outsourcing contracts in the Federal government arena. Through CSG, ATI will enhance its capability to its customers by offering a more comprehensive range of products, services and resources," Mackenzie said in a statement.

Mackenzie believed expansion in that space to be important due to the government's recent push for selective sourcing and preference for Australia-based companies.
