Broadcast network in PC refresh

Australia's Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) has signed Acer reseller Leading Solutions for the supply of more than 800 desktops, notebooks and LCD monitors under a three year contract.

Under the deal, Leading Solutions and Acer will provide design, project management, installation, testing, and support for the new hardware.

Alex Surplice, director, operations and resources, SBS technology and distribution, said the two companies had responded well to the broadcaster's "very comprehensive" project brief.

"With immovable deadlines every day, our computer equipment has to work and work well. Acer has committed to deliver us the flexibility, security and reliability demanded, together with quality local support," he said.

SBS has been an Acer customer in the past.
