    NSW Anonymous -- 14/04/09

The NSW Government meanwhile was asleep at the wheel.

Re: Asleepat the wheel. Anonymous -- 14/04/09 (in reply to #320129648)

Good thing! our present state government couldn't. run a pub chook raffle

    Hello? Anonymous -- 14/04/09

Hello, Mr Rann? Come on, you could at least even have a go. Anyone there?? Hmm I guess not.

NSW Government asks "What is NBN?" Anonymous -- 14/04/09

The NSW Government is trying to decipher what "NBN" means and weather we should have a "red hot go". Maybe they will roll it out after the North-West Rail link.

Same Question Here Anonymous -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129678)

Yes, same here! What's "NBN"? Just a name to get Government funding? Who made the decision for launching the sounds stupid "NBN"?? Anyone there really knows IT??

NBN? Dan -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129789)

Well I for one don't understand why the Northern NSW Channel 9 syndicate is being given $43 billion...

Why not Tasmania? Mel Sommersberg -- 14/04/09

Why don't they build the head office in Hobart since Tasmania will be the first state to get FTTH?

Tas is too far away Anonymous -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129740)

Maybe because it's not exactly central to all other states in Australia?

In comparison Victoria or NSW are better suited to host a centralized network hub than Tassie. And at present VIC seems to be cheaper.

tas marcus canavan -- 30/04/09 (in reply to #320129849)

the only reason tas is getting it first is because there was a smart man who put an fiber optic cable down when they up graded the water some years ago and it will be the fastest one to do they dont have to dig lots of holes

NBN in QLD Smart State Media Researcher -- 15/04/09

With Queensland being the only prosperous and fastest growing state in the country, and is known for being the SMART STATE, it should be the only location to be considered for the new NBN Headquarters; Top That!

nbn Anonymous -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129812)

if only there weren't so many, redneck, tard queenslanders there, it would be a pretty good place.

Everyone is here anyway Anonymous -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129820)

Don't worry there are not that many Queenslanders left as all the mexicans keep coming up here to get away from Victoria and NSW!

no wonder Anonymous -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129848)

thank goodness, there aren't that many left due to the real people assimilating with the queenslanders.

i suppose its entertainment value for the real people, checking out all those two headed, six fingered, inter-bred banjo players.

And paid for by NSW Mel Sommersberg -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129812)

Queensland's prosperity is partly due to the fact that their economy is subsidised by New South Wales and has been since Federation.

If relying on Israel Falau's cheating tactics to win a State of Origin match makes Queensland the Smart State then New South Wales has a bright future, even with Labor and Nathan Rees at the helm

Speaking of off topic rants Brads self confessed hero - Jason -- 15/04/09 (in reply to #320129855)

Dear sacked Telstra volunteer, Brad (also known as Mel, Lord Watchdog, Steve, Anonymous Troll/Idiot Heckler and more).

Thanks for supplying perhaps the most "off topic rant" ever.

Not even you could possibly be so hypocritical as to accuse anyone else of ever being off topic ever again, after that. Oh wait, you are the Lord (pfft) and your lame rules for getting out of heated situations, don't apply to you, do they?

Anyway since "you" have taken us way off topic, was it ISRAEL's

    a) tactics
    b) colour
    c) name

    which offends you most?

C'mon be truthful just once in your miserable life!

My bet is b and c!

    Your hero, Jason.

What would A$43 billion buy? Peter Williams -- 15/04/09

Not to say that broadband is not important, but I would like to know how much $43 billion is worth in terms of things whose value I understand.

    - How many desalination plants could you buy for for Victoria with $43 billion?

    - How much flood mitigation could you buy for Queensland with $43 billion?

    - How much would a QLD to VIC water pipe cost?

    - How many hi-tech startups could be funded with $43 billion?

    NBN marcus canavan -- 30/04/09
