    Telstra...No Negatiation Steve -- 07/06/07

Interesting that Phil says that the big T isn't going in to negotiate the price.
They must be pretty confident that their proposal will stack up vs G9.
I wonder what they'll pull out of the bag if this independent team says the G9 is good to go.
Will we see price movement then? or will they simply go to the courts as they have suggested.

I don't see any end to this in a short timeframe.

Telstra has shown by its actions that it shouldnt be in control of the infrastructure.

    Telstra - a company pleasing a non-existant market Yannick -- 09/06/07

Internet Service Providers, Mobile Carriers, Home phone service, Telephone maintanence... the list goes on. These are all areas that other companies have been able to break into the market and make huge profits because they are able to see what the Australian public want. Telstra have so long been focused in on being the "ones in charge" controlling Australia's Communication infrastructure that they completely ignore the publics wants and needs. I put Telstra on par with Qantas, we can see 2 of Australia's large companies that have been controlling the growth and development of major infrastructure of our country, only to have competitors come in and show us the public that we can have what we want, we can have lower prices, better service and higher quality, when the companies that we have grown up with, that we are meant to trust, have held back on us telling us that what we want is not possible.
Its time we lose the old mentality that says we need to stick with these founding companies like Telstra and Qantas, and give room for these newer companies that have ideas and motivation to restructure Australia's industry, because 10 years from now when other countries are all on next generation technology, Telstra will still be trying to swindle money out of the Government and us the consumer to pay for a severely outdated system. As they are now.
Look at why the majority of use use companies other than Telstra, and apply that same reasoning when planning the structure of our future.
