Time to stand up Australians. Sydney Lawrence -- 29/09/09

Telstra shareholders and Telstra employees must establish their hostility that an Australian government would use blackmail to damage Telstra and show favoritism to the government proposed NBN.

I would ask all interested Australians to contact me to form a foundation group to defend Telstra and to carry protest to the Rudd government when the parliament meets in Canberra next month.

rotfl, enjoy your trip to canberra, perhaps you could meet rudd in a phone box (pun intended).

But you aren't either Syd, so you keep saying, so aren't you going?

not an issue! Simon -- 29/09/09 (in reply to #320347895)

Sydney, how about picking a political issue that actually matters! Health would be a good start and of much more importance to all Australians than wether Telstra shares drop 10 points.

What a waste of time! Next you'll be chasing windmills..

i'm with ya Salami Chujillo -- 29/09/09 (in reply to #320347930)

I'll go along with you Sydney, to tell Rudd how GREEDY a shareholder you are. Only thinking for YOURSELF stuff the REST OF AUSTRALIANS. As long as you get those dividends rolling in WHO CARES eh?? The NBN will be good for ALL AUSTRALIANS.

Anon, militancy will not get us anywhere. I don't believe fighting lunacy with lunacy.

Sanity will eventually prevail. politicians are here today, gone tomorrow with good riddance.

United Aussies. Sydney Lawrence -- 30/09/09

With Australia about to be swamped by boat people from the north thanks to the Rudd government policies, Australians are not about to hand over one of Australia's favourite companies to government blackmail and confiscation.

My tip is stand by accommodation facility owners in Canberra because people with the spirit of Australia will be coming in big numbers. And Mr Rudd expect a serious response when we get there.

stop being racist Sydney Davoe -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349116)

We are not being "swamped" by boat people. People coming here are nowhere near as large as in the early 1990s or even around Tampa time.
Linking your cause to the most crude forms of racism and patriotism - shows your true colours (no pun intended). Perhaps you can invite the veterans of the Cronulla riots -Sydney?

Sticks and stones. Sydney Lawrence -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349350)

My enemy's enemy is my friend. By the way do you have any room in your house for a few of the boat people Davo?

You really are a D!ckhead Sydney Simon -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349417)

I can't believe you said that, last time I'll even bother reading your rubbish. The only enemy you have Sydney is your sanity.

Lucky you don't live in Europe you idiot, where they get 20,000 refugees every day.

Simon 666. Sydney Lawrence -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349477)

My problem Simon is I have been reading your antediluvian troglodyte lunacy comments and I think they have unbalanced my brain. lol, wish you well, or should that be "to get well" Oh! horrifyingly you evil influence even suggested to me that I should add an addition of one word after the "well".

They are disgraceful, I agree Simon. RS -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349509)

Simon, what comments like this from Sydney do, is clearly demonstrate once and for all, the selfish mindset of "a few greedy TLS shareholders" and shows exactly what fair minded Aussies "are up against".

This is 2 headed banjo player, redneck rationale, which puts those from the Deep South to shame.

We always knew Sydney rated those precious shares before the well being of us/Australians (including himself and his own family) in relations to comms. But obviously, that's just the tip of the iceberg, as this proves - "he just doesn't care about anything else, apart from those shares"!

However of equal interest to me - rather than keeping quiet or criticising Sydney, Vasso (another who worships his TLS shares more than life itself) has sided with these disgusting comments and claimed you Simon, to be the "dog" for highlighting such disgraceful greed driven, racism. Does this make him worse? Thick as thieves, the NWAT greed brothers.

It just proves exactly as we have said all along - these people are totally sans ethics and sans decency.

Whether you feel pity or not for boat people, is a moot point. But trying to talk up your shares, on the back of another's misery, is lower than I thought anyone, even these greedy TLS shareholders, could ever get.

The little respect I had for you men (being retirees/my elders, whom I was brought up to respect) has gone.

I could see you two next buying into Biota and then praying for and arguing the merits of a swine flu pandemic...

In reply to They are disgraceful, I agree Simon. Anonymous -- 01/10/09 (in reply to #320349812)

Your comment - " The little respect I had for you men (being retirees/my elders, whom I was brought up to respect) has gone." - is so stupid and typical, it is not even funny, because you never show the slightest respect towards anyone that disagrees with you. That is why your opinions are continually dismissed as egotistic, hypocritcal cr*p.

Good... RS -- 01/10/09 (in reply to #320350562)

Hi again "anonymous" greedy TLS shareholder.

How are those shares going, back to 1997 IPO price yet, lol?

My comments are considered egotistical, hypocritical cr*p, by 2 or 3 disgustingly, greedy, racist, irrational, TLS shareholders only, who refuse to see reality, because of their portfolio pain.

So I must really be onto something good, eh?

Haven't you heard Sydney. they come here for Telstra - Australia's favourite communications company. They particularly like their high service standards and competitive prices.

Vasso don't worry what these mental defectives say about us their type handled the Jesus trial, he was perfect and they crucified Him.

You would have been the one hammering in the nails, Sydney.

After all, Jesus was a poor foreigner (akin to a boat person) too wasn't he and you don't like them, do you?

Do you have no shame or decency at all?

jc the shareholder Anonymous -- 30/09/09 (in reply to #320349827)

jesus must be a telstra shareholder.

because everyday as the price goes down and down, all the other shareholders keep calling out to him.

.....The criucifier Anonymous -- 01/10/09 (in reply to #320349827)

Your spelling is on a par with your mental state, extremely sick and in need of serious treatment.

    That's all you've got, lol! RS -- 01/10/09 (in reply to #320350563)

Gee with such continued childishness coming from Mike, Sydney and Vasso, I'm not too sure which "anonymous", greedy TLS shareholder this actually is, lol!

    So hello greedy Telstra shareholder!

Thanks for that typically, intelligent [sic] and pressing input, which will save Australia's comms, I'm sure.

But in case you haven't noticed the letters "u" and "i" are adjacent to each other on the keyboard, so please excuse my faux pas at accidentally hitting the I just before the u - perhaps I should be crucified (happy)?

Or perhaps it was my mental state, that of complete shock at TLS shareholder racism and daring to compare yourselves to JC. I already knew about the disgusting greed, but..

I'm sure you will never make such a mistake, with your 1 word pm, single finger brilliance [sic].

Plus there's no i or u in "God Bless Telstra" is there, lol!

Fundamentalists! Simon -- 01/10/09 (in reply to #320349826)

II now get it, while most of us are simple telco agnostics, Sydney and Vasco are religious Telstra fundamentalists. Now that their Ayatollah Sol has been martyred, expect increased suicide blogging from these NWAT sleeper cells.

He can't help it. Mel Sommersberg -- 07/10/09 (in reply to #320349350)

The hilarious thing is that Sydney voted for KRUDD because he disapproved of the Howard Government's telecommunications policies.

One mistake that Mr Howard did make was keeping Telstra's conduits and pits as a package deal with the fire sale to pay off the rest of the Beazley Bankcard.

The Commonwealth Government should ahve retained full title over Telstra's pits and conduits and then provided access to them by any interested parties for a fee per km. This would have given every telecommunications provider a fair chance to run cables (where the space allows) and allow the Commonwealth to maintain an income stream to the benefit of taxpayers rather than idealogical shareholders.

Sadly, the horse has bolted, Labor is back in power and the nation is deep in public debt again. It makes the whole exercise seem a waste of time, doesn't it.

Now we have to listen to Sydney bleating and moaning about KRUDD instead of Howard for another 13 months.

Worked at Telstra, know that it needs a change Anonymous -- 01/10/09

I've worked at Telstra on a number of separate occasions over the years and from that I concluded that despite its efforts at "transformation" and so on it still needs a thoroughly overhaul. If that means a radical restructure such as structural separation, then so be it. Everything else tried so far, including two previous contrasting CEOs, have failed.

Cast the first stone, RS. Sydney Lawrence -- 02/10/09

RS why do you continue your dynamic though hateful attack on a great Australian company, Telstra.

If, as has been claimed on many occasions, Telstra has sinned and has been found wanting surely it would be in Australia's interests to suggest actions that will make Telstra even better than it is today.

RS, if you monitored the Senate Select Committee yesterday and the questioning of the NBN Co CEO you would have observed the serious possibility that the Government NBN could prove to be the greatest white elephant in history for the Australian taxpayer.

RS why you do not support Australia, Australian workers and Telstra is beyond my understanding and I do wish you well and say "God bless you" but unfortunately with your attitude of malignant evil towards Telstra I have serious doubt of the bestowing of that blessing.

    hahahah....ROFL Derek Nguyen -- 02/10/09 (in reply to #320352069)

Sydney, "a great Australian company" ? Are you kidding me, you've gotta be right? I'll have whatever you're having. Ohh, darn, i forgot, GREED, GREED and more GREED. Sydney, you haven't answer my questions from the previous post. Why is the great Australian company held back Australia by not switching on the full ADSL speed for a couple of years, leaving us poor consumers with 256kbps, 512 and 1.5? As for Telstra wanting to build FTTN, they chose not to build it as outline in the T3 Prospectus, did you read it Sydney? It has all the risk factors listed in there, have you lost your copy? I can send you another one.

Are you with us, at least in body Syd? RS -- 02/10/09 (in reply to #320352069)

Sydney, you are either blind to the truth, a fool, a liar - a combination thereof, or all!

I have probably praised Mr Thodey's achievements at Telstra more than you, who at the drop of a hat will stab him in the back.

SL, 15/9 "Sol must be falling over with laughter. He would have advised Mr Thodey that nice guys come last. And worse, the Government kicks sand in your face".

You do not support Telstra Sydney; you support your wife's Telstra shares, big difference!

So which part of my comment here (as I have said many times both here and at NWAT/2) is the hateful attack against Telstra?

RS (to 3 greedy TLS shareholders) 27/9 - "I believe you would gain more respect, and in turn your company would gain more respect, if you just got behind your new CEO, rather than forever undermining *HIS GREAT EFFORTS*...

And from NWAT2, 10/9 - "To be fair, it seems Mr. Thodey is genuinely endeavouring to remedy this greedy, whinge perception and have consumers look upon Telstra differently AND HE IS DOING A GREAT JOB"...

It's just a pity those few loose cannon shareholders don't have enough nous to actually admit they were wrong about Mr. Trujillo, realize what Mr. Thodey is trying to do and stop relentlessly, undermining him, by relighting all those bridges he is attempting to mend.." {END}.

As I said in another thread Sydney, I am not anti Telstra - I am anti greed, which makes me anti you (nothing personal).

"God Bless (my wife's) Telstra (shares)" eh Sydney?

Sydney does not support Telstra workers. Anonymous -- 03/10/09 (in reply to #320352069)

Speaking of foreign workers. What do you say to the fact that Telstra recently opened 4 Service Advantage call centre's in the Phillipines?

And just look at his comments over the past few months about Telstra staff in pay negotiations. He has opposed every union action to defend staff pay and conditions despite being a former union member (one can only assume the United Corporate Backscrubbers Association).

Sydney does not support Telstra workers or represent their employees.

Misleading debate from Sydney Lawrence Mel Sommersberg -- 07/10/09 (in reply to #320352069)

Sydney, the NBN Co. is more Australian than Telstra.

This is to save Telstra from itself Johnny B -- 02/10/09

Lets assume that the NBN goes ahead and we have numerous content providers just waiting to push the technology evelop including VoIP and video phones, if Telstra doesn't deliver a viable alternative it will colapse.

By forcing the separation the government is stopping implosion of monolith it created and is ensuring continued value for Telstra shareholders.

It has been proven time and time again that Australia is too sparsely populated to ensure true competition in utility companies.

Shape up Johnny. Sydney Lawrence -- 02/10/09

Johnny B I am astounded by your recent comment "it has been proven time and time again that Australia is too sparsely populated to ensure true competition in utility companies".

Johnny B good and resist promoting lunacy and hypocacy. You have been telling us for ages that Telstra is bad and there must be competition to it. Now you promote a monopoly.

Stick to your singing Johnny B. Good.

johnny b good, is actually johnny b goode and he wasn't a singer he was a guitar player. well that's according to chuck berry, but what would he know.

so now tell us again all those facts about telstra, just like you did with johnny here, ha
