Why should I update to a phone at $99.00 that even Telstra say will only work with 15kms of Bunbury WA.They then tell me I need a Blue Tick phone with inbuilt antenna hhahaha and yes it costs $200.00 beat that for a ripoff, its called a regional phone hehe!!!! Yet my CDMA work works EVERWHERE MAN FROM BUNBURY TO MANDURAH TO WANNEROO TO YANCHEP AND YES GERALDTON AS WELL OPPS IS THAT A JINGLE.Plus its prepaid and that is the problem cos Telstra want to give me a GADGET phone with everthing I just want a god damm phone only that WORKS.

  2. Quit complaints... try it out first.. Anonymous -- 11/04/08

I've used a Samsung cheapo Next G network phone from Perth all the way to Bunbury - if your phone won't do the coverage, then borrow a Next G network phone from someone else and try the network out. I've even used the Next G network to log on to Bigpond in the car (as a passenger) and it worked on the road to Bunbury also. You can buy prepaid Next G network phones.

Besides learn about the technology - Next G network uses WCDMA850 technology - notice the letters CDMA in WCDMA850.... now I wonder why.

Close the CDMA network Telstra and get on with spending the money on the Next G netowork improvements to coverage and capacity - wasting the cash on trying to keep the CDMA network on-air for a small bunch of complainers is simply not worth it.
