    HSDPA? Keith Styles -- 11/10/06

    Who cares?

The only users who will be able to afford this expensive toy will be the large corporations!
The report is nothing but a huge advertisment for Telstra! They don't need it. A one liner would have been more than sufficient!

The Board room "mad hatters" are at it again. Another waste of money, like CUDN, HK,CDMA is there no end to the madness?

WOT about ADSL2+ and BroadBand for the entire country?

Senator Coonan does nothing to force Telstra to provide this service, even though she had the legislation passed late last year.

She & the rest of our woeful government sit on their collective thumbs and do nothing to force Telstra to separate it's wholesale and retail operations so there is total transparency.
They should buy back all the shares having made a huge profit in the process and then sell off the retail operation, keep wholesale (TW) and make it into the National Asset is should be and provide the network for everyone. Not just for the rich and famous!

What happened to the level playing field?

The wholesale arm Anonymous -- 02/04/07 (in reply to #320070211)

I agree the govt. should buy back the wholesale arm of Telstra and then rollout ADLS2+ (or above) and charge ALL the telco's for it !
Then Aust. Telecommunications will be as good as anywhere else in the world and Telstra will have no monopoly at all. And most importantly we the public will not be held to ransom by ANY of the Telco's, and we will get our technology upgrades without all the BS Telstra is doing now.
