Outsourcing work from and job cutting within Australia is ultimately self defeating for a service provision company like Telstra, who are slowly destroying their potential consumer base.
I would like to see the government introduce a punitive levy on companies who like to persist with the outsourcing model, so that any gains they make from this odious practice are taxed at 100% so it is no longer worthwhile.

And Sol can still afford to smile. He probably doesn't have a mortgage to pay off, children's mouths to feed, fill the car with petrol or even feed his fat head at lunch time.
Telstra's job cuts over the last two years is a shameful and disgraceful act and the only way it can be justified is pure, unadulterated corporate greed, nothing more, nothing less.
