  1. It's been OH! so obvious. Keith Styles -- 28/05/07

One didn't need to be a QC to realise Telstra has done the grand daddy of dummy spits.

I just wish the G9 would get on with it's FFT? ASAP. If that leaves Telstra & it's very spoiled Management out in the cold,...well so be it.

BUT, please OH please just get on with it. We don't need years and years of endless rounds of talks and arguments between Telstra, the ACCC, the Tribunal, the Government, the G9.

If Asian and Major European countries can do it, WHY CAN'T WE? It's not that difficult.

Do we have to wait or can we afford to wait for a Federal government election and a new Labor government to provide $5billion?

It's obvious by now, our third useless Minister of Communications in 10 years, ,..Senator Coonan doesn't have a clue or is powerless to implement the necessary changes to the Telecommunications Act, to resolve this impasse..

We will become the laughing stock of the world, if we aren't already.

If the shareholders of Telstra don't like it, then elect another management team. We don't need very very expensive imports eroding our countries economy.

    Enough is enough.

    1. Time for a change Anonymous -- 28/05/07

Its plainly obvious that the present government doesn't have the answer - which is why it didn't commit any money to tackle the problem in the budget. Unfortunately, sticking their heads in the sand only demonstrates their lack of resolve.

Hats off to labour for their initiative. It's time for a change ...
