I did admire Lindsay Tanner for his straight shooting remarks but after the socialist attitude he has adopted I must think again.
His threat to Telstra is blackmail and I hope Telstra can get all their shareholders together and give them the full story.
And then at the next election Telstra shareholders can give the Tanner Government a big serve.

Protection needs to be fair Syd, not just for one but for all & for those Telstra shareholders, yourself included, the majority of society has a right to reasonable service for reasonable charge something your favourite company has never provided. Now your fave is being screwed the way it should have been in the beginning.
Telstra should never have had control of the infrastructure. They should only ever have been a phone company & the Gov't should run the infrastructure. Thank Johnnie for that stroke of genius but thank Stephen for a better result.

Foxtel does not own the HFC cable network. Telstra owns half and Optus owns the other half. Foxtel could never be in competition with a phone company no matter who owns it, no more than the Ford Motor company could. Foxtel competes with the FTA TV stations.
