For people who have become electrically hyper-sensitive - in almost all cases, these people have become chemically hyper-sensitive first (or have severe allergic problems) - mobile phone towers most certainly are problematic. There are a number of support groups around the world for such people; for example, 'Circuit' (Editor Ann Ermel).
There are several doctors internationally who treat such hyper-sensitivity. The treatment generally focuses on removing chemical triggers first (and or allergic triggers, including to particular foods - see allergy rotation diet). By doing this, the electrical hyper-sensitivity usually decreases markedly. Dr Gene Munro is one such doctor.
Since all people are electrical entities, we are all sensitive to a certain degree, and this is why the correct term is 'hyper-sensitive', as opposed to 'sensitive'.
Electrically-hypersensitive people have difficulty around mobile phones, and often struggle with other electro-magnetic devices which do not consist of microwaves.
In relation to mobile phones, I know several people who do not believe in electrical hyper-sensitivity but, on the other hand, will admit to getting symptoms while using a mobile phone, such as memory blanks, headache, hot cheek, agitation, etc. Since mobile phones are so convenient, many are unable to objectively look at the cause and effect of their surrounding environmental pollutants, such as the mobile phone.
The long running government/industry pretence of 'safety' fed through their place persons into the World Health Organisation EmfGroup, is a crime.
There is abundant evidence which they simply ignore or dismiss, showing that the perpetual low intensity microwave radiation from mobile comms. bases is damaging to living systems in a wide range of ways. For those unfortunates living too close it means high risk of minor then more serious illness.
Other microwave sources unwittingly introduced to the home - such as digital cordless phones, baby monitors, make the situation worse.
The massive profits and tax takes from the telecomms. industry and defence interests are not going to let the 'it's safe' deception be ended.

I'm already sick of reading this. TOWER's don't radiate anything. Does the big tower in Paris radiate, hmm no, how about the AMP tower in Sydney? No... Let's set the record straight - the Antenna's radiate RF energy - and at a power level heaps lower than what most people radiate into their ear from a bluetooth device (square of the distance - it's maths).. the antennas on TOP of towers don't affect much at all. That's why we have towers! Please can we get our wording right rather than scaring the general public who obviously don't know the difference between a tower and an antenna. Try receiving TV using a tower - it probably wouldn't work very well! Next try an antenna........
