Siemens have introduced its HiPath 5000 convergence architecture to the Australian and New Zealand markets
The company claims it has noticed a growing local demand for this product and predict it will be popular with SMEs. -SMEs are the key, as they are looking for quality and quickly," said Greg Bezuidenhout, general manager of Siemens Information and Communications Enterprise Networks . Large enterprises and call centres can also integrate the architecture. Bezuidenhout believes large enterprises will lag behind SMEs in take up, but that call centres will look closely at its product as they drift away from being a traditional call centre and evolve into more dynamic 'Contact Centres' due to the Internet. He believes there will be keen interest from the Australian and New Zealand markets. -Australia and New Zealand adopt technology very quickly and are one of the first with what ever is cutting edge," he said.
HiPath supports Voice Over IP and can become a complete IP solution for supporting information and communications infrastructure. Bezuidenhout said, -HiPath meets the growing Australian demand for high technology features that support e-business and multi-media solutions."
