The South Australian government has named the six telcos which will be on its telecommunications services panel, singling out Telstra as the supplier of its mobile services for the next three years.

AAPT, Amcom, Internode, Optus, Telstra and Silk Telecom were the six companies named as members of the panel, which will be in the running for around $389 million worth of contracts over the next six years.
The government hoped competition within the panel would achieve better pricing and choice.
"These new contracts will significantly benefit the state through better value for money, improved choice and increased flexibility for government agencies," Andrew Mills, chief information officer for the SA government said in a statement.
Telstra alone has netted a contract to supply the government with mobile services, worth approximately $15.4 million over three years. The government may extend the contract an additional three years.
"The continued aggregation of the State's mobile phone service with a single provider will result in maintaining significantly reduced prices for government," Mills said.
