in brief Business-grade service provider Pacific Internet today launched higher-speed ADSL plans up to 8Mbps, bundling the new offerings with voice services.
Pacific had previously only offered ADSL at up to 1.5Mbps, but is part of the mass of ISPs launching higher speeds after Telstra uncapped its wholesale ADSL plans in November.
"Our new product range gives SMBs [small-to-medium businesses] access to fast broadband without compromising service levels, giving businesses peace of mind that they won't suffer debilitating downtimes or fall prey to high excess charges," Pacific's local managing director Dennis Muscat said in a statement issued this morning.
Pacific's new range starts at AU$29.95 a month with a 3GB download allowance, ranging to AU$129.95 per month for up to 8Mbps speeds with a 60GB download limit (when bundled with a voice plan).
