Johnnie, you made Telstra private. Private companies look out for themselves, not the general public etc. They are there to make money hand over fist. Don't play ignorant now and cry me a river over naughty Telstra.

Australia or Singapore. Anonymous -- 10/06/07

Why is our Prime Minister surprised that Telstra is giving him facts of the broadband situation.
If Telstra was to say nothing and spring it's intentions on him at the last minute he would complain about this also. Prime Minister get real give Australia what Australians want and let Telstra, the only Company with the capabilities to deliver, build the new network.

A monopoly? Keith Styles -- 11/06/07 (in reply to #320080756)

Sorry anonymous, (are you afraid to put your name to your comment?) while we do need a highspeed broadband system for all Australians, we DO NOT need the PM or anyone else handing it to a MONOPOLY..like TELSTRA.

They're greedy sharks! Give Sol an inch & his company will take a mile.... our money, in no uncertain terms!
