This money is going to any company that is willing to provide broadband to areas Telstra have so far refused to provide any service too.
Having 1/2 the money go directly to Telstra shareholders is equally insulting. The rest then goes into a glacier slow roll out of FTTN.
ps: There are plenty of good reasons not to vote for howard. Notice how he only reacts to problems once they become an election issue, instead of acting in a timely manner when warned of impending disaster.
