    all this technology and medical staff to cover idiots who drive to fast in cars around a track. Let's face it watching motor sports is boring and is only ever worth looking at when there is a crash.

    How about instead of spending all this stupid money on these motorheads and cowboys and putting better tech in everyday cars to cover real accidents?

    That's what I'd do. There's no technical reason that normal cars can't be speed-limited down to say, 140km/h, for example, or why they couldn't be modified not to turn at a certain angle at a certain speed.

    But of course ... you would have to provide some considerable incentive/legislation for the car companies to jump on board with this sort of thing.
