in brief Several management consultancies have reportedly been shortlisted for the $53 million nine-month National Broadband Network (NBN) implementation study.
The Boston Consulting Group, a consortium that includes AT Kearney, Deloitte and some members of Acacia (which had bid for the first NBN), and a joint KPMG and McKinsey team have been asked to submit proposals for the work, the Sydney Morning Herald reported today.
The implementation study will determine the operating arrangements for the state-owned company to manage the NBN, its network design and financing arrangements such as attracting private sector investment.
The full study is due by February 2010, according to the government's expression of interest documents, with some interim reports due by August this year.
