Feds keep eye on Telstra over 3G

    Regional Users: Get out Grandpa's pedal-powered HF radio if you want to stay connected to the outside world. It will be your one remaining option.

    Sol is closing down the one network that gives almost good coverage (CDMA). As a city user, I find GSM near useless whenever I travel out of Sydney. In some towns the GSM signal fades even before you reach the edge of town. What good are all the fancy multimedia goodies if your network is incapable long range connections, which at least CDMA is reasonable at?
