DiData bags AU$40 million Centrelink deal

in brief Dimension Data has won an AU$40 million, five year contract to upgrade Centrelink's core network and switching infrastructure as part of the agency's Data Network Redesign Project.

Under the contract, Dimension Data will implement an Internet protocol network for Centrelink, based on technology from Cisco Systems, RSA Security and Senetas.

Dimension Data Australia chief executive officer Steve Nola said the vendor's association with Centrelink dated back to the agency's first major network upgrade in 1993.
