Commander hires old mate for CFO

Commander has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer, replacing a caretaker given the post after a substantial board shake up late last year.

Commander has appointed former Orion Telecommunications CFO, Dwayne Jahnke, as its new financial controller, replacing caretaker and outgoing executive Peter Housden.

Jahnke will hold the purse strings as part of CEO Amanda Lacaze's turnaround plan, which saw 600 staff cut from the company, after fulfilling a similar role for Lacaze at Orion.

The company has endured a stormy 12 months since its share price dropped below 20 cents from a high of AU$2.28 a share, seeing the company suspended from quotation on the ASX in October last year.
